Our Mission

The commercial waste industry operates in the dark. Contracts are long, invoices are complex, and most property managers don't have time to read every line item every month. Haulers know this - and they take advantage of it.

The Dumpster Auditor exists to level that information gap. By applying AI-powered document extraction and deterministic audit logic, we give property owners the same clarity that large corporate clients have always had. Fee creep doesn't survive transparency.

We're not anti-hauler. We're pro-contract. If a fee is in your contract, it's fair game. If it isn't, it shouldn't be on your invoice.

How the Technology Works

Document Extraction (AI)

We use Claude, Anthropic's AI model, to read your PDF documents and convert unstructured text into structured data. The AI identifies base rates, surcharge definitions, escalation clauses, and permitted fee categories - regardless of how your specific hauler formats their documents.

Extraction accuracy exceeds 96% on standard electronic PDFs. Scanned image-only documents are not currently supported.

Comparison Logic (Deterministic)

Once your contract and invoices are converted to structured data, our comparison engine takes over - and there's no AI in this step. Every comparison is a hard mathematical check: is the invoiced amount greater than the contracted amount? Is this surcharge name present in the contract's permitted list?

This approach eliminates hallucination risk from the most critical part of the audit. The AI reads; the math decides.

Data Security

  • ✓ All uploads transmitted over TLS 1.3 encrypted HTTPS
  • ✓ Files stored in isolated Cloudflare R2 buckets - not accessible from the internet
  • ✓ All uploaded PDFs automatically deleted after 30 days
  • ✓ Audit results (extracted JSON data) retained for account history only
  • ✓ We never sell, share, or license your documents or extracted data to any third party
